We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work with Dr Erik Panzer at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford. This is a 21-month, full time, fixed-term position, funded by the Royal Society through the project “Quantum perturbation theory at large orders”.

The successful candidate will join the Mathematical Physics research group and carry out research in an area related to the project. This covers in particular: mathematical and computational aspects of Feynman integrals and renormalization, deformation quantization, related special functions, and asymptotics and resummation of perturbation series. They will write up their results for publication, present papers at conferences and contribute ideas for new research projects, whilst also managing their own academic research and administrative activities.

You will have, or be close to completing, a PhD in mathematics or a related discipline and possess sufficient specialist knowledge to work within the established research programme. Excellent communication skills are essential, including the ability to write for publication, present research proposals and results and represent the research group at meetings, as is the ability to manage your own academic research and associated activities autonomously.
