SIM-EARTH is a UKRI funded 5-year project to investigate the mechanisms that have controlled the temperature and redox state of the Earth’s surface over the planet’s history. To do this the research team will work to develop a new 3D long-term Earth System Model and extensive spatially-resolved geochemical and palaeontological datasets to test the model against.
