Position Information

Position Overview

Essential Job Duties

The primary purpose of this position is to conduct advanced research in the field of robotics and related areas. The Postdoctoral Researcher will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robotics projects with a focus on mechatronics design, mechanism design, electric motor, actuator, embedded system, control, machine learning, and reinforcement learning. The researcher will work on various types of robots, including humanoid robots, legged robots, wearable robots, surgical robots, and soft robots.

Other Work/Responsibilities

Research experiences in one or more of the following areas: mechatronic design, power electronics, actuator, embedded system, control theory, machine learning, reinforcement learning

Research experiences in one of the following areas: humanoid robots, wearable robots, surgical robots, soft robots

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Requirements and Preferences

Work Schedule Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm

Department Required Skills

Research experiences in one or more of the following areas: actuator, embedded system, control theory, machine learning, reinforcement learning

Research experience in one of the following areas: humanoid robots, wearable robots, surgical robots, soft robots

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

PhD in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or related areas
