Job Description

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Pius Fasinu in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham for highly motivated individuals to develop and conduct DMPK/ADME studies on small molecule drugs. Prior experience in ADME assays including metabolite identification, drug transporter, CYP450, PK studies in rodents and bioanalysis is preferred. The candidate needs to be proficient in assay design, troubleshooting, LC/MS use, data analysis, and animal handling. This position requires working with minimal supervision.

Key Qualities

--Knowledge and experience with LC/MS/MS is required.

--Ability to design, execute, analyze and interpret experiments with minimal direct supervision.

--Attention to detail.

--Excellent communication and organizational skills.

--Ability to multi-task and follow through any given tasks.

--Perform cell biology and molecular biology studies to support early drug discovery projects

Qualifications

Ph.D. degree in pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, biology, biochemistry, or related discipline.

Some postdoctoral experience is desirable but not required.
