A Postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Poulikakos Laboratory at the Tisch Cancer Institute Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. We use small molecule inhibitors to understand biochemical regulation of oncogenic and immune signaling and resistance mechanisms to targeted cancer therapies (https://labs.icahn.mssm.edu/poulikakoslab/publications/ Wu et al., Nature Cancer, 2021; Adamopoulos et al., Cancer Discovery, 2021; Ahmed et al., Cell Reports, 2019; Karoulia et al., Cancer Cell, 2016; Karoulia et al., Nature Reviews Cancer, 2017; Samatar and Poulikakos, Nat Rev Drug Discov, 2014). We employ state-of-the-art inhibitors and technologies (PROTACs, CRISPR and compound screens, biochemical, chemical genetic and genetic approaches) to elucidate signaling mechanisms and design cancer therapies. Highly motivated individuals with a strong interest in basic and translational cancer research are encouraged to apply. Candidates must hold an MD and/or PhD degree in biology, cancer biology, biochemistry or related fields, with relevant published research experience. Expertise in cell culture, western blotting and basic biochemical and molecular biology techniques is required. Candidates with background in signal transduction in cancer, immunology or related fields will be preferred.
