A postdoctoral position is available at the University of Pennsylvania to investigate mechanisms of cell division. Live-cell imaging is a focus of the lab, particularly quantitative methods and FRET-based biosensors to examine signaling by mitotic kinases (see Nature vol. 453, p. 1132-36, June 19, 2008). Applicants should be highly motivated and possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Experience in cell/molecular biology, biochemistry, or biophysics is preferred. The lab is part of a diverse research community in the Department of Biology and maintains close contacts with the School of Medicine and the Abramson Cancer Center.
