A postdoctoral fellowship is available immediately in the Microbial Pathogenesis/Inflammatory/Autoimmune Disease Research Group. We are studying research relating to microbial infection and immunomodulatory components as they relate to inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. We are particularly interested in the role of TLRs, MHC class II, DC and T cell functions involved in both suppression and activation of inflammation and autoimmunity caused by different microbial components. We are seeking a scientist (PhD, or MD/PhD) with a strong background and techniques in immunology and animal models of diseases. Skills of flow cytometric analysis, protein purification and FPLC are particularly preferred.
The successful candidate will be offered stipend commensurate with experience and supported with the excellent intramural resources and environment of the University of Utah Health Science Center.
