Postdoctoral Researcher

(Parasite Genomics)

£29,138 – £30,912 pa

You will join a project using next-generation genome sequencing to develop SNP based tools for genetic analysis of Entamoeba histolytica. The School (RAE rated 5) is the largest department in the University, with 63 academic staff and over 250 research staff (http://www.liv.ac.uk/biosciences). The School is housed in new state-of-the-art laboratories with leading edge research infrastructure.

You should have a PhD in a biological subject and have experience of sequence analysis. Knowledge of bioinformatics or parasitology would be advantageous. The post is funded by the Wellcome Trust for 3 years.
