A POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN MOLECULAR AND CELL BIOLOGY OF ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE AND OTHER NEURODEGENERATIVE DISORDERS is available at the Center for Dementia Research at the Nathan Kline Institute in the laboratory of Efrat Levy, Ph.D., participating in a highly interactive program project addressing basic and translational Alzheimer’s disease research. The Institute, an affiliate of NYU School of Medicine situated close to New York City, provides a rich multidisciplinary environment for postdoctoral training.

The position available involves studies of cellular and animal models to investigate the pathology of the endosomal/autophagic/lysosome system in Alzheimer’s disease, and the protective role the cysteine protease inhibitor cystatin C plays in brain injury and in Alzheimer’s disease.
