Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a postdoctoral research position which is available for three years from September 2008. The preferred research areas are: • Adaptive optics
• Retinal imaging
• Visual perception Outstanding candidates in any area of applied optics will also be considered. The appointee will be expected to develop their own research programme complementary to other current work in the Group. The Applied Optics group has approximately 25 researchers and is recognised for its research in imaging and adaptive optics. We have extensive interaction with industry.
